Specialty camps

Additional fees starting at $65 per week

While enjoying a very active week in the Multisports program, campers are also offered the opportunity to develop other interests or discover new ones, by participating in one of our specialty camps. Two hours per day are devoted to these activities, for a total of 10 hours per week.

* Please note that 5-day stays are offered between June 29th and August 21st, 2020 for all our specialized camps. Places are limited, so you can also place your child on a waiting list if the specialty of your choice is no longer available by contacting us at [email protected]. As soon as a place is free, we will contact you and you will have 24 hours to confirm your decision.

Motor and sensory workshops- ages 4 to 6 New!

The specialized camp Motor and sensory workshops allows participants aged 4 to 6 years old to participate in a multitude of fine and gross motor activities, in a stimulating environment, promoting their development. In light of them beginning school, they will be able to develop various motor skills that will benefit them not only throughout physical activity, but also in their academic success.

Gross motor skills:

Swimming lessons - ages 4 to 12

This aquatic program allows participants to have fun while climbing the Canadian Red Cross Society ladder.  Our specialized swimming instructors will provide each child with a progress card at the end of the course.

*Please take note that the swimming lessons are offered in collaboration with the Centre Culturel et Sportif Regina Assumpta, partner of the Canadian Red Cross training program.

 

Artistic creations - ages 4 to 6

The specialized camp Artistic creations, which the program is elaborated over four weeks, allows participants aged 4 to 6 to develop their creativity, to express themselves, to communicate, to represent reality in their own way after seeing the work of others, amongst other children, throughout different artistic activities. Their artistic presentations will be shown to all parents on Friday as of 4 PM.

  • Discovery of the sound world (sounds of objects around us & percussion instruments)

  • Discovering different dance styles

Theatre

  • Creation of drama games
  • Interpretation of sequences and stories

Circus - ages 7 to 12

This specialty camp promotes the initiation of circus musts such as walking on a tightrope, trapeze and juggling. Two hours a day are dedicated to this activity (10 hours per week).

Creactions- ages 7 to 12 New!

This specialized camp allows participants to let their creativity run free throughout different artistic activities (theatre, fine arts, music-dance). The program, created within different themes, allows participants to create, and present in front of an audience at the end of the week.

Robotics - ages 7 to 10

This robot design and animation program (LEGO MINDSTORMS Education) builds on participants ingenuity. Are you up to the challenge?

Sciences - ages 7 to 12

Exploring the world of science and technology, this program offers a host of interactive experiments and exciting demonstrations. The participants’ favourites will be presented to the parents on the Friday.

English lessons / 7 to 15 years old

This innovative and interactive program, developed by a certified teacher and in accordance with the Québec Education Program, allows children to expand on concepts learnt during the school year and to develop basic skills in English as a second language. This English program focuses primarily on oral practice and the incorporation of notions taught such as grammar, vocabulary and reading lessons. Students will participate in interactive games both in and outside of the classroom in order to perfect the English language.

A placement test is used to form two groups (beginners and intermediates - this program is not intended for advanced or bilingual participants), which allows the teacher to adapt his or her teaching content in taking into account the needs and skills of children. At the end of the session, students will create a showcase portfolio to demonstrate what they have learnt, enjoyed etc. This portfolio as well as an evaluation grid will be useful to show parents and track student progress in the future.
