  • Does my child need special documents to be admitted to Canada?
It would be wise to check this information with the Canadian consulate or embassy in your country. A parental authorization signed by both parents, preferably notarized, allowing the child to travel alone must also be completed. Give the participant an original copy of this authorization to enclose with his or her plane ticket, and send a copy to our offices. EDPHY cannot assume responsibility for obtaining visas, passports or other permits.
  • What will you do to facilitate the integration of my child from outside Canada?
The entire staff of our organization is committed to promoting the integration of all participants, whether Canadian or from outside the country. With international campers accounting for over 35% of our clientele, we have implemented a number of interventions in activities, routines and administration.
The trip advisor, assistant coordinator for groups and international campers, ensures personalized preparation of the trip, and is on hand to answer participants' questions and prepare their arrival at the airport.
Our staff, the majority of whom speak French and English and some other languages such as Spanish, Mandarin and Italian, also ensure quality communication with campers from abroad. Interpreters are also sometimes available.
All participants must always refer to their counsellor, whose primary role is to welcome them and ensure their health, safety, and well-being, as well as to make every effort to help them integrate into the group and promote group unity. To achieve this, familiarization activities and icebreaker games are organized at the beginning of the stay.
  • Why is the rate different for campers from outside of Canada? What does it include?
The rate for participants from outside of Canada includes:
    • Membership to our insurance coverage (health and accident).
    • Transportation between the camp and the airport: You will need to complete the form available in your Customer area no later than 2 weeks before the start of the stay and provide a copy to your child to attach to their plane ticket.
