Winter

March Break Camp - ages 4 to 14

Presentation of the program

This program is built for young individuals that wish to take advantage of their March break to discover outdoor activities and to take in all the fresh air before returning to school.

On the menu :

  • Large-scale indoor and outdoor activities
  • Construction of shelters
  • Construction of snowmen
  • Ecology
  • Slides on tubes
  • Cooperative games
  • Night time activities and campfire
  • Swimming
  • Arial games park
  • Painting on snow
  • Snowshoeing
  • Hiking
  • Winter team sports (Ball hockey, broom hockey, football, etc.)

* Activities presented in the schedule can be modified depending on the temperature.

Schedule

The schedule takes into account your child’s age and level of development and is concluded with a program of evening activities.

  • Wake-up time and morning routine at 7:30 a.m.
  • Breakfast at 8:00 a.m.
  • First activity at 8:30 a.m.
  • Second activity at 9:30 a.m.
  • Snack at 10:30 a.m.
  • Third activity at 11:00 a.m.
  • Lunch at noon
  • Fourth activity at 1:00 p.m.
  • Fifth activity at 2:00 p.m.
  • Snack at 3:00 p.m.
  • Sixth activity at 3:30 p.m.
  • Break at 4:30 p.m.
  • Dinner at 5:00 p.m.
  • Evening activities at 6:00 p.m.
  • Evening routine at 8:00 p.m.
  • Bedtime at 9:00 p.m.

*A detailed schedule of the activities will be sent via email to the child's guardian the Friday preceding the beginning of their stay.

Duration and availability

A 4 day-3-night stay is offered from March 3rd to 6th 2019.

A 6 day-5-night stay is also offered from March 3rd to 8th 2019.

Transportation

Transportation (round trip) is included and mandatory from one of the following service points:

  • McDonald’s parking lot at the Porte du Nord (Autoroute 15, Exit 51)
  • Collège Regina Assumpta in Montreal.

You will be notified of departure and arrival times at a later date.

Please note that this list has been created for the 6-day stay. Please review this list and the quantities if your child is signed up for a 4-day stay.

Summer

Mini Camp – ages 4 to 12

Presentation of the program

A great introduction to summer camp life is offered to children who are new to our Val Morin Centre.

They are then introduced to various outdoor sports activities, such as horseback riding, canoeing, woodland challenge courses and circus arts, as well as evening activities (campfires, major games, etc.).

Schedule

Throughout the day, there are five 50-minute activity periods. The schedule takes into account your child’s age and level of development and is concluded with a program of evening activities.

  • Wake-up time at 7:00 a.m.
  • Breakfast at 7:30 a.m.
  • Morning activities at 9:00 a.m.
  • Lunch at 11:30 a.m.
  • Afternoon activities at 1 p.m.
  • Dinner at 5 p.m.
  • Evening activities from 6:30 p.m.
  • Bedtime at 8:30 p.m.

* A detailed schedule of activities will be available online, in the Client Space area, on the Friday before the start of your child’s stay.

Duration and availability

3-day, 2-night stays (Monday to Wednesday) are offered the weeks of June 24, July 1, July 8, August 5 and August 12 2019.

Transportation

Transportation (round trip) is included and mandatory from one of the following service points :

  • École Jean XXIII in Dorval;

Club Explo – ages 4 to 14 New!

Presentation of the program

This camp is designed for first-timers as an exploration of the EDPHY camp is offered!

As of 2019, this program will be offered in French and in English. However, it is important to note that certain common periods such as group gatherings, meals and large-scale activities will be animated in both languages. It is also possible that certain groups, if the number of inscriptions does not allow us to make uni-lingual groups, will be bilingual. Parents will be notified as soon as possible.

Their stay, though short, will most certainly be action-packed!

Multi-Activity Camp – ages 4 to 16

This program is designed for youth who love active, dynamic vacations.  The various activities were chosen so as to satisfy a multitude of tastes and needs:

Counsellor-In-Training – ages 16 and 17

Presentation of the program

Aspiring counsellors participate in practical and theoretical experiences related to animation and childcare, which will enable them, upon successful completion, to have the necessary resources to undertake their responsibilities with children, whether in a camp or related setting.

Graduates will receive:

  • A certificate from the “Association des camps du Québec”, attesting the successful completion of the Counsellor-In-Training program (PAM);
  • the Aptitudes aux Fonctions d’Animateur du Conseil québécois du loisir Diploma (DAFA);
  • A recognized emergency first aid certification.

Schedule

A schedule including theoretical training, observational activities and animation will be presented. In addition, participants will be invited to visit another camp.

Duration and availability

Two four-week stays are offered on the following dates:

  • June 23rd to July 19th, 2019
  • July 21st to August 16th, 2019

Transportation

Parents are responsible for picking up their child directly at the vacation center. You will be notified of arrival and departure times later.
