With joy and enthusiasm, we embark on this new year, and instead of presenting our famous New Year’s resolutions, we want to share our predictions for 2024 with you. In order to provide you with an overview of what the new season holds for the camp industry, we consulted some members of the board of directors and staff of the Association des camps certifiés du Québec, and here’s what they think.

1- Summer 2024 will be even hotter than 2023.

What everyone agrees on is that summer 2024 will be filled with swimming pools, beaches, water games, and air conditioning. Fortunately, camps will still be there to offer a multitude of refreshing activities—and many more! With the well-being and health of children at the core of their priorities, they will also do everything possible to ensure that each stay allows for everlasting memories, in complete safety.

2- Youpi and Marco Polo will make many campers happy again.

Several star counselors will return to various camps in Quebec in 2024, and new recruits will join them, much to the delight of children and their families. Carefully selected based on their experience, enthousiasm, creativity, and sense of responsibility, among other qualities, and rigorously trained, they are the ones who breathe life into groups and organizations.

3- The Paris Games will influence activities across Quebec camps.

Programs are designed according to the age and abilities of the group, thus favoring challenges and personal achievements for everyone. It also draws inspiration from the interests of children, the established theme, and sometimes even current events! The Olympic Games, conveying universal values—friendship, self-improvement, diversity—aiming to bring people from all corners of the world together, will certainly inspire the programming of many camps.

4- Almost no turnips are expected in 2024.

Very few turnips will be offered in the menus provided by camps for the upcoming summer. However, meals prepared by chefs will be designed to contain a variety of fresh and diverse foods, following the recommendations of consulted nutritionists. They will also take into account different dietary regimens, allergies, and food intolerances, and when coupled with sports and physical activity, they will have a positive impact on overall health.

5- Many will dare, and everything will go well.

A good number of children will embark on an adventure and have an extraordinary experience attending a camp this summer. Forming new friendships, developing a new passion, pushing boundaries, gaining independence—the reasons that will motivate them, as well as their parents, to book their stay are numerous. And we assure you, everything will go well.

How about you? Do you have any predictions to share with us? Are you planning to enroll your child in a camp or even visit an outdoor camp with family, friends, or colleagues? Here on our end, we are well-prepared for 2024 and ready to take your registrations. See you soon!
