More than 175 counselors, specialists and members of the management team attended the long-awaited end of season gatheirng, Saturday, August 19th at the Loews Hôtel Vogue in Montreal. The event began with a rooftop cocktail, followed by a four-course gourmet dinner during which several awards were presented.
To begin with, Khasandra Cloutier-Olin, Assistant Director, awarded the “Ballon d’Or” to the Edphy International Regina Assumpta, Edouard-Montpetit and Jean XXIII Day Camps for the funds they raised for the Charles-Bruneau Foundation. Multiple activities at our Regina Assumpta College camp allowed us to raise $ 537.75. At the Edouard-Montpetit Cegep, a 2 km run in the residential district of Longueuil and a hot dog dinner were organized and the team raised $ 750.25. Finally, a car wash, a lemonade sale and a PhotoBooth enabled our Jean XXIII school team to raise $ 512! The management of Edphy International wanted to congratulate them for their participation and their involvement in this cause, which seeks to protect what our society cherishes the most: children. Their actions show that despite our busy summers, we can, Edphy’s staff and clientele, always make a difference.
Secondly, Marilyse Richard-Robert, Executive Director, presented the seven nominees for the “Chapeau d’Or” and the “Chapeau Recrue d’Or” Awards, which were given to employees who had great performance throughout the season by showing us their dynamism, their creativity, their spirit and their great concern to make the camper’s stay the most memorable possible. In addition to Edouard (Pierrefonds), Xavier (Dorval), Geneviève (Montreal – Ahunstic) and Claudia (Montreal – NDG), Martin Brunelle (Longueuil) and Étienne Gendron (Val-Morin) won the Chapeau d’Or and Hallaura Marcellin (Ste-Thérèse) was left with the price of the “Edphy Recrue d’Or”.
Finally, the last prize of the evening, the coveted “Edphy d’Or” awarded to the camp who best performed by the quality of its services in terms of customer satisfaction (parents and children) as well as its low rate of incidents and its general atmosphere, was awarded by Marie-Émilie Grégoire, Assistant Executive Director, to the Edphy International Villa Maria Day Camp.
At the end of the evening, after indulging in desert, it was time to have fun! Leaded by the rhythms of DJ Christopher Balian, the employees danced the night away … and ended the evening singing camp songs! 🙂
As the 2017 season is officially over, it is now time for us to take a few days off! We will therefore be back on September 18th to begin the planning of the Summer 2018 season!
