Boisbriand, March 15, 2022 – It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the nomination of Marilyse Richard-Robert as new president – first woman! – of Edphy International. The one who will be the 4th person nominated as president in the history of Edphy, succeeds François Rioux, who will begin new challenges and whom we thank for his many contributions as former president of our organization.
Marilyse joined the Edphy family in 2005 and held several seasonal coordinator positions until 2013. On March 17th 2014, when she became co-owner of the organization, she was also appointed executive director, a position she held until now and which allowed her to get involved in all spheres of the company and to offer as many children as possible the chance to benefit from the Edphy experience. Alongside her great entrepreneurial skills, Marilyse also has the ability to put into place her vision and her ideas, which has even earned her the title of Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018 by the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie Thérèse-De Blainville (CCITB). Her in-depth knowledge of the industry will also be an undeniable asset in ensuring the growth, development and sustainability of the unique organization known as Edphy International.
A teacher by training, Marilyse taught for several years in underprivileged and multicultural environments, relentlessly attaching great importance to education, the training of tomorrow’s citizens and openness to the world, both through child and counsellor experience. Currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Association des camps du Québec, Marilyse is actively involved in community life by using her experience and expertise to serve her industry, thus following in the footsteps of the founder of Edphy International, Mr. Yvan Dubois.
