The Edphy International Foundation is proud to announce that its very first logo has been selected among the outstanding works submitted during a vast competition organized in several schools in the greater Montreal area. The winning design was created by Juanita Romero, a talented 1st grade student at Marie-Favery School.

The competition, which invited young artists to represent their vision of the activities and values of the Edphy International Foundation, generated a lot of enthusiasm among the participants. In addition to recognition, the grand prize also included the opportunity to have one’s logo displayed on all communication materials of the Foundation and a free stay at camp.

“Eva Ulrich, her teacher, wrote to us, ‘Born in Colombia and newly arrived in Canada, Juanita doesn’t do many activities outside of those offered by the school and doesn’t play much outside.’ ‘The idea of spending time outside our big city greatly excites her. […] She was overjoyed when I announced to her that she was the big winner.”

About the Edphy International Foundation

Influenced by his modest upbringing and the values instilled by his parents, the founder of the Edphy Nature Center, Mr. Yvan Dubois, has always made it a point to “make the outdoors accessible” to young people from all backgrounds, particularly by welcoming them into an environment that promotes sports and outdoor activities. Since the 1960s, thousands of children have benefited from grants and scholarships following their participation in various competitions or programs, thereby facilitating their access to activities at the Edphy Nature Center.

In order to better structure its philanthropic efforts and maximize their impact, as well as ensure their sustainability and continuity, the Edphy Foundation was created by the new owners. Its mission is to offer to as many children as possible the opportunity to become familiar with outdoor life and the practice of numerous sports that are both diverse and beneficial to their development and its intervention axes can be consulted here.
